Across the school year, as part of the Wandle Learning Trust, children in KS2 take part in three competitions: Maths Bee in the autumn term, Battle of the Books in the spring term, and Football Fanatic in the summer term.
This term, children in Years 5 and 6 have been busy reading six books and taking part in knock out competitions against their peers. This week, the two top scoring teams headed to Ravenstone to take part in the Battle of the Books final.
Question after question, the children worked together in their teams to share their knowledge of the six books they had to read.
After a nail-biting final featuring 18 questions and a tie-breaker worth 17 points, Paxton was crowned not only the 1st place winner but also the 2nd place winner. Congratulations to all the children who took part!
