The Department for Education introduced universal free school meals in September 2014 for all pupils from Reception up to Year 2. School meals at Paxton are provided by Zebedee's and are fully compliant with the Government's Food Standards for schools. It is Academy policy that all pupils at Paxton have a healthy and nutritious school lunch. Only those children with a medical condition requiring a special diet are permitted to have a packed lunch. Pupils learn about the long term benefits of a healthy diet in PE lessons (every lesson contains a health talk), PSHE and through certain enrichment activities such as cooking.
